Banks and other financial entities are institutions whose operations and best practices have an effect on the individual, as well as the national and international levels. Guaranteeing the security of employees, clients, transactions and funds should be the main objective of every financial institution. Bank Security is, without a doubt, among a bank's principal assets. The advance of modern technology has increased the amount and types of threats that affect banks today. However, traditional threats such as armed robberies, assault during the transportation of funds, fraud and money laundering remain present-day realities.
The growing use of the internet to carry out financial operations has allowed for the development of a new type of crime, one in which the perpetrator need not be physically present. Some examples of this type of crime include electronic fraud, identity theft, and stealing confidential information about clients. Today, large-scale fraud, network hacking, and the robbery of high-security vaults/security boxes using sophisticated means, are among the most serious threats facing financial institutions. The common denominator among all of these events is the prior information gathering, planning and detailed professionalism of the perpetrators. In some instances, bank employees may intentionally collaborate with, or unintentionally assist criminals. Using modern bank security and technological means, however, is not enough to confront these threats. Adequate monitoring and effective supervision must also be revised, updated and implemented periodically. The human factor is especially relevant in the world of bank security. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate its integrity and trustworthiness not only during screening for hiring, but also throughout an individual's employment with the institution. This is true regardless of an employee's position or seniority within the organization. Services: Risk-Analysis Training: High-Security Intensive Seminar in Israel |
